We offer the following tests through Dr. Marieta Buse, ND:
(1) Standard & comprehensive bloodwork & lab requisitions (via Lifelabs):
· CBC – Complete blood count. This test determines how many red and white blood cells you have and reveals issues like anemia or infection.
· TSH – Thyroid stimulating hormone. This marker indicates whether your thyroid is sluggish or overactive.
· Ferritin – A long-term marker of iron levels. Low or suboptimal levels indicate anemia.
· FBG & HgA1c – Fasting blood glucose and hemoglobin A1c. These tests reveal issues blood sugar regulation and can be markers for metabolic syndrome or diabetes.
· Lipid panel – This panel includes serum triglycerides and cholesterol levels (HDL and LDL). Low levels of HDL and high levels of LDL are a risk factor for heart disease.
(2) IgG Food sensitivities (via Lifelabs & Rocky Mountain Analytical)
· Food sensitivities can be the root cause of various illnesses like depression, IBS, eczema, hypothyroidism, etc. This finger prick test determines your levels of IgG antibodies to up to 220 foods that include meats, grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and spices.
(3) Advanced comprehensive sex & adrenal hormone testing (via Lifelabs & Genova)
· Hormonal dysregulation can lead to many different symptoms, including mood swings, hot flashes, infertility, acne, fatigue, and depression. Using saliva samples, estrogen, progesterone, DHEA, cortisol, and testosterone are hormones commonly tested.

* Laboratory testing can be ordered as early as your first visit. All costs associated with tests, including requisitions, are in addition to regular consultation fees and must be paid in full at the time the requisition is written.
* For legal, medical, and ethical reasons, tests require a paid appointment for results to be returned and explained in detail. At this follow-up appointment, the indicated treatment recommendations will also be given.
