our values

Elios Health acknowledges that our clinic, and where we play, is located on (but not limited to) the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the səl̓ilwətaɁɬ təməxʷ (Tsleil-Waututh), Skwxwú7mesh-ulh Temíx̱w (Squamish), S’ólh Téméxw (Stó:lō) and šxʷməθkʷəy̓əmaɁɬ təməxʷ (Musqueam) peoples. We recognize that a land acknowledgement statement alone is insufficient, and that deeper, ongoing learning on our part is required.

One place to learn more about the areas we live, work and play is https://native-land.ca/ - a website striving to create and foster conversations about the history of colonialism, Indigenous ways of knowing, and settler-Indigenous relations. Type your address into the map to learn about the territories you are visiting or living on.

Elios Health welcomes feedback on our role and responsibility in the deconstruction and dismantling of settler-colonial practices, attitudes, and assumptions regarding health care and business practices.

family

Family is more than who you live with. It’s who you trust, who you lean on, and who you share your happiest news with.

We believe that the special people in our heart deserve our attention. Close connection is part of our mental health and recovery.

We advocate for our patients, physiotherapists, and RMTs to have family time - in whatever form it means to them.

Elios Health is proud to be a family owned and operated physiotherapy and massage clinic.

community

We know it takes a more than just one. Having a team alongside makes so many projects more feasible.

We encourage our practitioners and clients to join community groups to foster deeper ties while pursuing their goals.

Elios Health is proud to have team members involved in a multitude of sports, including rock climbing, weightlifting, water sports, skiing, rugby, cycling, hiking, and gymnastics.

We are involved in many community events, including HUB Cycling’s Go By Bike Week, to the Squamish Rampage Climbing Festival. You can find us supporting the Youth Team at Climb Base 5 and sponsoring a membership drive for Vancouver Climbers’ Association.

commitment

Commitment is shown in our everyday actions - from walking the dog to sending your latest project.

Our one-on-one treatment is our commitment to your health, and you can rest assured knowing your treatment protocol is tailored to each individual.

We are committed to:

  • providing a safe space without judgement for all individuals

  • listening and facilitating reflection

  • respecting individuals’ values and needs

The human body is a magnificent machine. By its very nature, it has the ability to move, to heal, to thrive.”

— Len Chong, Founder

founder’s message

“The human body is a magnificent machine. By its very nature, it has the ability to move, to heal, to thrive. When we are injured and in pain, our ability to thrive is diminished. I feel that my role as a health practitioner – a physiotherapist – is to facilitate the healing process for my clients. I do not ‘fix’ them, rather I provide knowledge and learning, hands on therapy and rehabilitative movement to enhance the body’s inherent healing ability. I cannot think of a better way to help my clients but to empower them with the understanding that they play a massive role in their rehabilitation.

Personally, my health is very important to me. I want to be as healthy as can be so that I may give my best to my family and the community. When I see my clients finally attain the goal that they have been working on for months, or compete at their national gymnastics competition, or demolish that shed they have been meaning to for years, or finally be able to crouch down to plant this season’s tomatoes, it fills me with joy and motivation. It drives me to excel in every aspect of my life.”  – Len Chong
